Happy Diwali From Sri Lanka

Namaste – and Happy Diwali!

Diwali – the Hindu Festival of Lights, signifies a time when darkness is overcome by lightness and despair is replaced by hope. It is a time for new beginnings – a time for love and laughter, happiness and hope, family and friendships.

Hindus all over the world will be celebrating Diwali today with traditional rituals and religious rites, as well as joyful celebrations involving presents, food and fireworks. But, they will also be sending out wishes of love and compassion to all humans. Diwali is a time when we remember that although we may be of different nationalities, ethnicities and religions, we are in fact all the same – human beings with hopes and dreams and aspirations.

Today, as I write this from beautiful Sri Lanka, I realise that for me this Diwali is all about new beginnings as I begin to journey around the world – seeking new experiences in exciting places with interesting and inspiring people.

And, if you are looking for a new beginning – why not start that process today. Whether it is leaving a toxic relationship or quitting an unfulfilling job or starting that book you always meant to write, make that mental shift today to give yourself the time and space to make this happen. When you make that promise to yourself that you want change and a new beginning, you create a powerful energy that moves you forward – and when you put that intention out there – then the Universe listens. And, when the Universe listens to you…and responds…magic truly happens!

To all of you – I wish you Happy New Beginnings, Happy Diwali!

Much love and light as always
